Introduction
HEART OF MIDLOTHIAN SUPPORTERS TRUST - THE IDEA
The following summarises the position reached from information gathered by the proponents of a Supporters Trust for Heart of Midlothian Football Club. It is based on research that we have carried out and uses information from a variety of sources as well as ideas that we have developed.THE VISION
There are a huge number of individuals who support Hearts (the weekend of 16th May 1998 is testament to that) who could both individually and collectively help Heart of Midlothian Football Club fulfil it's true potential. Their wealth, skills and spending power are a massive resource that can be utilised.The Trust provides a vehicle for the Hearts community to make a positive contribution to the development and success of the Club.
It is our vision that the Trust will continue to promote collective ownership of shares for supporters. The Trust at present holds more than 2% of Heart of Midlothian shares on behalf of it's membership.
KEY AIMS
The Trust has now established itself as a vehicle which allowed the above 'vision' to become reality. The Trust is a non profit making, democratic organistation and is inclusive to all.As an integral part of the Hearts' community, we aim to ensure that the Trust provides a means by which the Hearts support can make a positive contribution to the future of the Club.
